The Moors was expertly mixed by Justin Phelps and recorded at The Hallowed Halls,
a recording studio in SE Portland that was to be the venue partner for live performances for Vinegar Tom.

Sisters. Mastiff. Moorhen. Moors

Agatha and Huldey are two sisters residing on the bleak English Moors. When Emilie, a young governess arrives from London, things begin to go awry. She meets the maid with multiple personalities. And can't seem to find Master Branwell. The Mastiff has a bad case of ennui and the crash landed A Moor Hen can’t remember anything. This bold, theatrical satire takes us on a wild ride through the beautiful and the dangerous while upending gender politics and demanding visibility for its characters as they struggle to find their way in the world.

Original Location

The Moors was to be performed at TaborSpace in SE Portland. This community building is a gathering place that aims to be an anchor for community life, a friendly place for people to meet, laugh, learn, celebrate and share with one another. Our production would have been housed within Copeland Commons (the site of the original chapel) and connected to a 100 year old Bell Tower of a Presbyterian Church. Due to Covid-19, while we were in Tech at Taborspace for The Moors, stay at home orders were issued throughout the state. One week before opening, we sent our artists and crew home with pay and postponed our production indefinitely.
