GROUND STABILITY
A theatrical reckoning on solidarity, identity, and womanhood in America
Created by Jen Rowe
The Title
“Ground Stability” refers to the foundational layer beneath a building—a metaphor for the work of rebuilding trust, connection, and solidarity among women and marginalized genders.
Why Now
We are living through an era of intensified restriction on women’s rights, deepening cultural divides, and shrinking space for nuanced conversation. Ground Stability responds to this moment, offering both resistance and refuge—particularly for women and non-binary individuals seeking connection, recognition, and voice.

About the Project
Ground Stability is a three-part theatrical experience that asks:
Can there ever be true solidarity among women in America?
Developed over eight years through facilitated conversations with more than 100 women across the country, Ground Stability blends immersive installation, stylized theater, and protest performance. It explores how gender, politics, and personal identity intersect—often in tension—and invites audiences into a space of shared reflection and action.
